The Sandhu Charitable Foundation donated the sum of £4,000, by way of a one-off donation to Build It International. The donation was by way of sponsorship of Mary Gavigan in connection with her 500km bike ride from Lusaka to Livingstone, Zambia. Build It is a charity which deals with projects supporting poverty relief in Africa. They do this by way of Training into Work programmes which enables thousands of young people in Zambia to secure valuable building and other vocational skills. This then ensures that communities have access to a skilled workforce resulting in much improved schools, clinics and homes.
