The Sandhu Charitable Foundation have donated £5,000 to The Down’s Syndrome Association to be used in connection with their Workfit programme. Workfit match jobseekers who have Down’s Syndrome with employers who have jobs to offer. A dedicated Workfit officer supports both jobseekers and employers throughout the whole process. The programme supports their jobseekers to enable them to be more independent, to learn new skills, to meet new people, earn their own money and generally increase their self-esteem. A very worthwhile cause indeed.
