    • The Sandhu Charitable Foundation grant Alive and Kicking the sum of £2,500.  Alive and Kicking are a small charity who empower and enrich the lives and livelihoods of people facing disadvantage through ethical employment, health education and play.   The charity operates in Ghana, Kenya and Zambia are the world’s only not-for-profit ball manufacturer using proceeds from ball sales to fund programmes.

    • Prostate Cancer UK receive £10,000 from The Sandhu Charitable Foundation to enable them to carry on supporting and treating men who have been diagnosed with this disease.  Lockdown has made detecting all cancers, especially Prostate, much harder, with many people feeling unsafe or nervous about visiting their GP.  Prostate Cancer UK endeavours to reassure them and their families to take up video or telephone consultations with their GP’s, additionally putting their minds at ease that the hospitals their GP may refer them to will be safe and not put them at undue risk from COVID-19.

    • Jeans for Genes Day receive a £6,000 donation from The Sandhu Charitable Foundation to assist them in their campaign to raise awareness of the daily challenges faced by those living with a genetic disorder and who raise money to fund projects that make a tangible difference to the lives of those affected.  While some genetic disorders are apparent at birth, others may be diagnosed at different stages of childhood, adolescence and sometimes also into adulthood.  This can have a devastating impact on the individuals concerned and also their families.
